Our hands take quite a beating and can get really dried out, especially in the winter months. When your hands look old, it gives the wrong impression of your age so let’s turn back the time with these DIY remedies and get your hands silky smooth again!

One-Minute-to-Silky-Palms Exfoliant

Have a quick minute to spare? Good! Try this super easy, super-fast scrub and it will leave your hands feeling a ton smoother in just 60 seconds. The olive oil will moisturize and hydrate your skin cells while the sugar will exfoliate and get rid of old, dead cells.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Directions:

  1. Place the sugar in the palm of one hand and slowly pour the olive oil into it. Using your other palm, start massaging the scrub into your palms and hands.
  2. Massage your fingers and hands with gentle squeezing and circular motions for about 30 seconds.
  3. Let the scrub soak in for 30 seconds.
  4. That’s it! Wash off your hands with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.

An Old Tried and True Treatment: Vaseline and Socks

Don’t mind using the time you sleep to get your hands silky smooth? Then try an intense overnight moisturizing treatment utilizing Vaseline. Petroleum jelly is known for its ability to seal in moisture and soften even the most dry, calloused skin. We promise, you won’t believe how soft your hands feel the next day!

Ingredients:

  • Vaseline
  • A pair of socks

Directions:

  1. Wash your hands with a mild soap. Pat dry with a clean towel.
  2. Rub a dollop of Vaseline into your hands.
  3. Massage hands for approximately 30 seconds.
  4. Slip a sock over your hand and go to bed.
  5. When removing the sock in the morning, gently rub off any excess Vaseline.
