Exfoliating by Skin Brushing

Skin brushing is a beauty ritual that dates back to ancient times. It’s a very simple exfoliating technique that uses a natural brush to brush your skin. Skin brushing is great for boosting circulation, reducing cellulite, and helping the lymphatic system.

Here are some tips to get the most of your skin brushing:

  • Use a natural bristle brush

A synthetic fiber brush can hurt your skin cells.

  • Brush toward your heart

Use small, hard strokes up your legs, arms, and torso working toward your heart. From start to finish, skin brushing should take 10 minutes.

  • Always brush on dry skin

Brushing while skin is wet will allow dead skin cells to fold into each other.

  • Don’t use the brush on your face

A brush that is meant to be used on your body is too rough to be used on your face.
